On going projects: Obblogatory dot com and MakingREALMoneyBlog
Some of my readers may be wondering why I’ve been a little tardy posting to this blog the past few days. Well, I’ve been busy…
I’ve been working on a new blog, and planning the sprucing up of an existing blog.
The New blog on the Block: Making REAL Money blog
And here is the introduction to the second posting (the first being the current Carnival Posting):
The blog that emphasizes making real money… I’m sure you’re fed up, as I am, with all those pansy schemes that are paraded around the Internet that tell you HOW to make REAL money! You know the ones I mean…
Ads on your blog that never amount to anywhere near the $100 minimum to get paid out – you won’t here about schemes like that! Though you might read about websites that succeed using them. So out goes Bidvertisers, PayU2Blog, “I made millions, now you can, too” schemes, … and dozens of other schemes.Well, on this blog, we’ll be looking at Making REAL Money, not just pennies or cents or pfennigs or rubles or yen or whatever! We’ll be writing about tips, advice, methods, role models, examples, and real success stories, too. Our weekly feature is our newsletter or Carnival of Making Real Money that is published on a weekly basis. Posting frequency will be three or four times a week. So you can subscribe to our feed and relax.
At first I had to deal with very weird permissions that screwed up a number of the settings of the blog for no particular reason; then I couldn’t get the WordPress Visual Editor to work; then when I altered pages, I couldn’t get them to load properly. In the end I junked everything, and started again on a new user. This time it’s working properly.
So today, I’ve been adding a lot of pages for the basic structure, lots of little codes (Alexa, etc..), and the first post announcing the blog. It’s quite exciting and it’s given me an idea of writing a new blog checklist to help me remember what to set up when I start a new blog. (coming soon). Do take a look.
Other Stuff: I’m also working again on one of my other blogs, and sprucing up the structure, installing new stuff, updating more, and trying to revive the blog. In addition, I’m considering going ‘nofollow’ for one or two of my blogs, in preparation for SocialSpark. This is also a big step for me, because of Google’s Ugly Stance on the Issue. I’m still unresolved on that one, as I think they are wrong, but I have to be realistic.
