Apologies: DDoS Attack on my Server Box
Apologies for the outage over the last 24 hours. Our server was under attack from a DDOS, meaning that all the sites on the server were unavailable. Having contacted Bluehost, they said it’s pretty difficult to know the duration of the attack. But it’s obviously still happening as some web-services on the server are still unavailable, such as the CPanel.
This is a salutory reminder: backup your posts, your database and your online files so that if the shit hits the fan, you’ll be okay. I have made a few decisions as the result of this, including backing up all my files, shifting my domains, and returning to WordPress original flavor. It’s just to risky otherwise.
